In 2015, Nestlé Brazil, in partnership with the agency JWT, launched the “Unidos por Crianças Mais Saudáveis” (“United for Healthier Kids”) program, which included the “Legião dos Superpoderes” (“Legion of Superpowers”) initiative. This pilot project was implemented in São José do Rio Pardo, São Paulo, aiming to promote healthy eating habits and physical activity among children. The “Legião dos Superpoderes” utilized gamification elements to engage participants, offering challenges and missions that encouraged the adoption of healthy behaviors both online and in real life. The program achieved significant results, with over 4,000 children registered and 104,000 healthy missions completed in its first year. The initiative received international recognition, being a finalist at the 2016 Games for Change Festival, which honors games with positive social impact.
